Hello, I'm Jinal (gee-nl),
a Product Designer at a startup called Front.
If I'm not chugging Philz coffee, you'll likely find me crafting products with a pinch of pragmatism and an unhealthy amount of empathy. As an interior designer in my past life, my love for form and function goes beyond the realms of a digital screen.
I have a total of 8+ years of design experience out of which
5 years is in Product/UX Design. Previously, I've worked at companies like Fiserv & LinkedIn.

My Story
In case you are still here...
Let me share a bit more about my journey so far - Being born and raised in the crowded, chaotic city of Mumbai, I've always been passionate about people's stories of how they eat, how they live, and how they connect.
This curiosity led me to pursue Interior Design. But with changing times, I was driven to move my passion along in more fast-paced tech world of Interaction Design. Originally a self-taught UX Designer, before LinkedIn, I was working for Fiserv, an American based FinTech company.
What I learnt last year as a Product Designer:
- I've come around to realize that product design is 20% creativity and 80% strategy. Every design decision is grounded in strategic reasoning to get a business or a user to a desired outcome.
- As a product designer, I have equal responsibility in a product's strategy as that of a Product Manager
- "Problems with visual design can turn users off so quickly that they never discover all the smart choices you made with navigation or interaction design" - Jesse James Garret
